My Class and our English teacher Miss O Keffee, decieded to collect toys for Saint Vincent De Paul this Christmas. We had many things to do before we did it. We first had to get permission from Mr. Kinsella, then picked a date. Also four students from the Class (Myself, Amber, Kate and Niamh) made two big santa Bags to collect the toys with the help of Miss Spillean. Also we Helped Fr. James put up the christmas display in the Socail area. Thanks to all those who brought in toys. Also when you bring in toys you get a ticket to enter our Raffle with Brillint Prizes!!!!!!   |

West Side Story consists of many songs by Leonard Bernstein. The musical has become very popular and includes the songs "something is coming" , "Maria", "America", "Somewhere", "Tonight", "Jet song", "i feel pretty", "One Hand, One Heart", "Gee, Officer Krupke" and "cool".

The tryouts started in August 1957 for the remake of West side Story in Washington D.C and ended in Philadelphia. The first opening of the Broadway production opened at the Winter Garden theatre on September 26 , 1957. The production was directed and choreographed by Jerome Robbins, and produced by Robert E Griffin and Harold Prince. The stars of the show were Larry kert as Tony , and Carol Lawrence as Maria, Chita Rivera as Anita and finally David Williams as Baby John the youngest gang member . The production ran for 732 performances at the Winter Garden Theatre before touring and the returning once again to the Winter Garden Theatre in 1960 for another 253 performance. |
